Gary Ravert's practice is focused on creditors’ and debtors’ rights, corporate reorganizations, bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation proceedings, and commercial transactions.
Following law school, Gary clerked for the Honorable Stuart M. Bernstein, Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York.
After his clerkship, Gary started as an associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP from 2001 through 2003. From January 2004 through December 2007, he continued his work in restructuring as an associate at McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Effective January 2008, Gary was promoted to partner at McDermott and continued in that capacity through July 2010 when he left McDermott to open his own practice.
Gary is licensed to practice law in New York, and is admitted to the federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
