- Representation of small businesses in bankrutpcy-related litigation and claims trading
- Representation of debt purchasers in bankruptcy matters
- Representation of small business and indivduals in workout
- Counsel to the purchaser in an $82.5 million acquisition of substantially all of the assets of a North American provider of professional portrait photography products and services and all of its foreign and domestic subsidiaries
- Representation of one of the largest chains of dialysis centers in the United States in connection with recovery on a distressed asset
- Representation of a large manufacturer of aerospace, satellite, and automation and control products in connection with chapter 11 proceedings
- Representation of a distressed debt hedge fund in connection with chapter 11 proceedings
- Counsel to a large New York-based hospital and healthcare organization in its chapter 11 proceedings
- Counsel to the trustee of a liquidating trust
- Co-counsel to a large dairy producer in its chapter 11 proceedings
- Representation of a large telecommunications company in numerous corporate and litigation matters
- Defense of a large and well known restaurant chain in bankruptcy litigation
- Representation of two public companies that were the successful bidders in two recent 363 sale transactions
- Representation of defendants in numerous adversary proceedings

- A large welding manufacturer in its chapter 11 proceedings
- A large and well-known clothing manufacturer in its chapter 11 proceeding
- The largest creditor in a recent chapter 11 proceeding of a Latin American satellite television company
- Creditors in the Kmart, Hayes-Lemmerz, and Cambridge Holdings bankruptcies
- The syndicated lenders in the chapter 11 proceedings of AMF Bowing
- A major airline and a large non-profit long-term care provider in out-of-court restructurings

Gary is a member of the Bankruptcy Law360 Editorial Advisory Board, the Brooklyn Law School Zaretsky Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Center Steering Committee and a board member of the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Association. Gary was also named 2008 and 2009 Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association for his contributions to pro bono clients.
